8TURN comeback July 21 with new single '[8.X]' and R&B title track 'Stagefright'

8TURN are back on July 21 with [8.X], a two-track single releasing at 6 PM across online music platforms.

The title track Stagefright is an R&B pop song built around a sensory mood and an addictive hook. Lyrically, it maps the fear that grows the deeper you love someone onto an artist's relationship with the stage. Members Yunkyu (윤규), Jaeyun (재윤), and Myungho (명호) co-wrote the lyrics. The B-side 8PM opens with a minimalist, chill intro before expanding into a deep-groove dance sound. It's an R&B dance track that captures the feeling of being instantly drawn to someone, weaving together the contrasting heat of midday sun and the cool twilight air of 8 PM. Jaeyun and Yunkyu wrote this one too.

The group framed [8.X] as an album documenting their move toward new coordinates, stepping into unfamiliar territory rather than staying on a predictable path. A highlight medley video dropped July 11 on official SNS ahead of the release.

This single follows a busy stretch. Three mini-albums (8TURNRISE, UNCHARTED DRIFT, STUNNING), a 2026 single BRUISE, and a fan concert — 2026 TURN TABLE : ETERNAL FLAME — held in March. The member writing credits across both tracks suggest the group is leaning further into self-expression this era. [8.X] lands July 21.
