Actor Kim Sung-kyum, who played Chairman Yoo Shin-woo in Goblin, appeared noticeably thinner in a surprise video message during tvN's 10th anniversary special on July 11.

Ten years on, one word broke everyone.
tvN aired 함께여서 찬란하神 - 도깨비 10주년 여행 on July 11, a special marking a decade since Goblin (도깨비) aired. The episode was filmed around a cast reunion in Gangneung. When actor Kim Sung-kyum (김성겸), who played Chairman Yoo Shin-woo, appeared in a surprise video message, he looked noticeably thinner than viewers remembered.
His first word to Gong Yoo was "나으리" (Nauri, the honorific his character used for the Goblin). That alone was enough. Kim Go-eun broke down immediately: "His very first word was still 'Nauri' — that's where I lost it."
Kim Sung-kyum spoke warmly to the cast. "It feels like ancient history when I think about Goblin, but it's already been 10 years," he said. "I think it'll be loved for another 20, 30 years — that thought gives me strength." He turned to Gong Yoo directly: "Even though it's been so long, seeing you feels like seeing you every day. I love you, Nauri."
Gong Yoo was visibly moved. He explained that Kim Sung-kyum had left the drama earlier than originally planned because he wasn't well. "The script was revised so that a scene of us playing baduk together became his final scene," Gong Yoo said. "I'm just glad he's healthy."
The unexpected appearance reminded Gong Yoo of his own father — the two men are around the same age. He recalled how comfortable Kim Sung-kyum made him feel on set, never pulling rank, always warm.
