Ivy opens up about dating life; Cha Jung-won spills her ideal type on SBS variety show

Singer and musical actress Ivy appeared on SBS Ani Geunde Jinjja! on July 13, talking openly about her romantic life.

"I had never taken a break from dating," she said, "but when I reached my late 30s, I realized how difficult dating really is." Co-star Cha Jung-won (차정원), 36, jumped in with the diagnosis: "The problem is her high standards. If he's handsome, she doesn't care if he's divorced."

Cha Jung-won has her own relationship update. She confirmed in February that she is dating actor Ha Jung-woo (하정우), 11 years her senior.

Ivy, born in 1982, also showed behind-the-scenes footage from her audition for the Broadway musical Chicago. She sent audition videos to the United States three times before landing the role—the first South Korean actress to perform on Broadway.

Comedian Joo Hyun-young (주현영) shared that a past appearance on Tak Jae-hoon's web entertainment show left her "so distressed and humiliated." She took this appearance as a chance to move past that. Comedian Lee Su-ji (이수지) asked Cha Jung-won mid-episode whether she'd ever thought about becoming a comedienne. Lee even offered her a scouting proposal.
