JTBC's 'Apartment' opened with 4.6% nationwide viewership, ranking #1 among non-terrestrial programs and beating its predecessor's debut numbers.

Apartment hit the ground running. The new JTBC Saturday-Sunday drama recorded 4.6% average nationwide viewership and 4.9% in the Seoul metropolitan area on its first broadcast. Peak minute rating reached 6.3% in the capital region. It ranked first among all non-terrestrial programs from episode one.
That opening is 0.8 percentage points ahead of the first episode of the previous JTBC work Rookie CEO Kang, which opened at 3.8%.
Ji Sung leads the cast as Park Hae-gang, a former organized crime boss. He's back on weekend primetime roughly five months after Judge Lee Han-young wrapped in February. That show peaked at 13.6%. Before it, Connection hit 14.2% at its high. The pressure is already there.
The setup: Park Hae-gang gets extorted by a police investigation bureau chief who demands he raise 10 billion won within three months to save Park Yong-man. His plan involves staging a fake wedding to claw back congratulatory money he'd given over the years, paying Kang Ha-ri 5 million won to play the fake bride. Things escalate when he discovers that the 9,800-household apartment complex Truevalue State is sitting on massive undisclosed funds tied to management fees and construction bids.
(A crime drama set inside an apartment complex's financial corruption is very much a 2026 premise.)
The ensemble includes Ha Yoon-kyung, Park Byung-eun, Moon So-ri, and Jung Jin-young. Apartment airs every Saturday at 10:40 PM and Sunday at 10:30 PM on JTBC.
