J.Y. Park drops reggae single 'WET' on July 23 as the Waterbomb 2026 main theme — his first summer track since 'When We Disco' in 2020.

J.Y. Park is releasing WET on July 23. It's his first summer single in six years and the main theme for Waterbomb 2026, Korea's signature outdoor music festival. JYP Entertainment announced it on the 16th.
His last summer track was When We Disco (Duet with Sunmi) back in 2020. WET comes roughly eight months after Happy Hour (퇴근길) (With 권진아), which dropped in November. The new single sits in reggae territory with a summer festival vibe baked in.
Park performs at Waterbomb's Seoul and Busan stages this year. Last year he showed up in a hot pink vinyl outfit that people couldn't stop talking about. On the 14th, he previewed WET and his new stage costume on Waterbomb's official YouTube channel. The outfit is a step up: "New fabric has appeared. Vinyl will disappear into history."
He didn't shy away from the six-year gap. "Thanks to Waterbomb, I'm releasing a summer song for the first time in 6 years." He called WET "a reggae-tone genre that perfectly matches summer."
A challenge audio preview went live on his official SNS on July 9. WJSN's Dayoung, Billlie, 82MAJOR, KISS OF LIFE, MADEIN, and KickFlip jumped in. RESCENE's Minami filmed both WET and Pretty Girl challenge videos with Park.
