Kang Dong-won leads comedy film 'Wild Thing' as a disbanded mixed-group dancer

Wild Thing, directed by Son Jae-gon, opened June 3, 2026, and has logged 1.32 million cumulative admissions with an 8.45 audience rating.

The film stars Kang Dong-won, Eom Tae-goo, Park Ji-hyun, and Oh Jung-se, with Shin Ha-kyun in a special appearance. Triangle, a three-member mixed dance group, disbanded after an unexpected incident. Twenty years pass before leader Hyeon-woo gets a performance proposal that could reunite them on stage.

Hyeon-woo goes by "Dance Machine." Byeon Do-mi is "Absolute Charm." Gu Sang-gu is "Storm Rapper."

Kang Dong-won was born January 18, 1981, in Busan. He graduated from Hanyang University's ERICA Campus with a degree in mechanical engineering and debuted in 2003 in the MBC drama Wifung Dangdang Geunyeo (위풍당당 그녀). His accolades include the Asia Star Award at the 16th New York Asian Film Festival in 2017 and the Best Male Popular Star prize at the 29th Busan Film Critics Awards in 2020.
