Kim Ji-soo debuted in 1992. Now he's running a travel business in Prague—and insists he's not done acting.

Kim Ji-soo is not retiring. The actor debuted in 1992 as part of SBS's second public recruitment class, and he's been fielding retirement questions constantly—through comments, through his Prague-based travel agency Jisoo in Prague—always with the same answer: "I haven't retired~"
He launched Jisoo in Prague in March, operating tours that connect Prague, Český Krumlov, and Dresden, Germany. His last screen credit was the 2024 JTBC drama Family X Melo. Nothing's been announced since.
"Over 30 years of acting and running, I've never had time like this," he said. He spends days at Petřín Park now—laying out a mat, looking up at the sky. The break isn't total, though. Running a company, he noted, "cannot be maintained by willpower alone; it is also another hardship."
He was candid about the old rhythm. "Even when one work ended, I couldn't rest comfortably because I was always thinking about the next work and character, always anxious and living as if being chased." Thirty-plus years of that will do it.
The Prague chapter is deliberate, not accidental. "I think all experiences have meaning. There must be a clear reason why I need to spend this time now." On the break itself: "If I don't create it now, it may never come"—and he said he's grateful just to be able to have it.
