Lisn's 'LOVE ATTACK' hits Melon #1 nearly two years after release
Lisn's 2024 track hit #1 on Melon TOP100 on July 8 after two prior surges. An August Pokémon remake is already lined up.
Lisn (리센느) got their first Melon TOP100 #1 on July 8 with LOVE ATTACK. The track originally dropped in August 2024 and had already climbed the chart twice before finally reaching the peak. Members reportedly cried when they heard.
LOVE ATTACK wasn't alone. Their remake Pretty Girl entered the TOP5 fast and peaked at #4. Deja Vu, Runaway, and Pinball charted at the same time. Pinball got another boost after NMIXX member Sullyoon recommended it publicly.
The run hit a snag. Member Woni (원이) faced an "ilbe controversy" over a statement she made. A regional broadcaster PD raised the issue, and it spread from there. Woni runs a YouTube channel titled 안원잘부 (short for 안녕하세요원이입니다잘부탁드립니다), which became central during that period.
August brings a Pokémon remake. Lisn will release 포켓몬 우리는 모두 친구 — the first-series ending song — as a special version. (The IP collab reads as either genius or chaos, but the chart momentum right now says they can swing big.)
