Moon Ga-young signed with Fantagio and posted birthday photos on July 11, fresh off a Baeksang Best Actress win for *Manyage-e Uri*. Two new dramas are in the works.

Moon Ga-young turns 30 next year. She's heading into her next era with two confirmed lead roles and a new agency behind her.
The 29-year-old signed an exclusive contract with Fantagio and posted birthday photos on July 11—one day after her actual birthday on July 10. She'll lead tvN drama Gorae-byeol as Heo Su-a and is preparing the lead role of Seo Hong in Bam-ui Hyang, scheduled for a later broadcast window.
The timing follows a major career moment: Best Actress in the film category at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards for Manyage-e Uri. Before that came a 2021 Emotive Award, a 2023 Best Acting Performance Award at the Asia Artist Awards, a 2018 MBC Best Actress win for Widae-han Yuhokja, and a 2020 MBC Best Couple Award with Kim Dong-wook for Geu Namja-ui Gieoekbeop.
Her career started young. A child role in the 2006 film Seungseung-ui Eunhye led to her first terrestrial lead in Widae-han Yuhokja. Wider recognition came through tvN's Yeoshin Gangrim, where she played Im Ju-kyung, and a fixed panel slot on tvN's Yojeum Chaekbang: Chaek Ilgeo Deurimnida. She published an essay titled Pata in 2024.
Born in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, she returned to Korea during elementary school and settled in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Her father is a physicist; her mother is a musician. She plays piano, violin, cello, and flute. She also holds a scuba diving certification, and has picked up climbing, golf, ballet, and horseback riding along the way.
