Plus M Entertainment announced a three-day relay GV running July 14–16 at two Seoul venues. July 14 at Lotte Cinema World Tower: Na Hong-jin and director Lee Chang-dong take the stage after the 6:25 PM screening. July 15 at Megabox Coex: Na Hong-jin with director Bong Joon-ho, following the 6:45 PM screening. July 16, same venue, same time—this time with director Jang Jae-hyun.
Also July 15 at Megabox Coex: a cast GV after the 5:15 PM screening. Film critic Lee Dong-jin moderates. Na Hong-jin, Hwang Jung-min, Jo In-sung, and Jung Ho-yeon all attend. Three of Korea's most decorated directors showing up for one film's opening weekend.
Hope is an SF action film set in a fictional DMZ village called Hopohang. Beom-seok, chief of the Hopohang outpost, learns from local youths that a tiger has appeared. The village confronts an unbelievable reality from there.
The film hit No. 1 in advance reservations at one of the fastest rates of the year after tickets went on sale.
