TWICE's Sana and Sato Takeru cast in Korea-Japan co-production film 'Nyangi' (working title)
Sana makes her screen debut as 'Nao' opposite Japanese actor Sato Takeru in *Nyangi: Wishing to Reach Your World*, a cat-themed romance fantasy that starts filming in Japan this autumn.
TWICE's Sana and Japanese actor Sato Takeru are starring together in Nyangi: Wishing to Reach Your World (working title), a Korea-Japan co-production romance fantasy centered on a cat.
Sato Takeru plays 'Tamaki.' Sana takes on 'Nao'—her first film role.
Director Kwon Hyuk-chan, who helmed Encounter and Goblin, is leading the project. Nam Dae-jung wrote the screenplay; his previous work includes the films 30 Days and First Ride, plus the drama Kim Bu-jang.
Cokes and NPO Entertainment (Korean production companies) and JACON (Japanese) confirmed the casting. Filming begins in Japan in autumn 2026 once casting is complete.
