V's 'Layover' hit iTunes #1 in 110 countries—more than any other Asian solo album this decade. The EP peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200, with every track surpassing 100M Spotify streams.

Layover topped iTunes in 110 countries. No Asian solo artist album in the 2020s has done that. It's the anchor point for V's solo work as BTS gears up for their full-group return.
Released in 2023, the EP hit number 2 on the Billboard 200 and held there for 8 weeks. Every track crossed 100 million Spotify streams. "Love Me Again" went to 1 billion, joining Spotify's Billions Club. "Slow Dancing" earned 6 music broadcast wins and a triple crown. The digital single FRI(END)S charted on the UK Official Charts. Drama OSTs "Sweet Night" and "Christmas Tree" climbed domestic and international charts, winning Best OST and OST of the Year across multiple ceremonies. Layover itself won a trophy in a debut album category at overseas music awards.
V (Kim Tae-hyung, 30) joined BTS in 2013 on 2 COOL 4 SKOOL. He dances and sings as a sub-vocalist. Stadium performance photos dropped on the 16th.
BTS released their fifth album ARIRANG in 2026, marking their return as a full group. The title references Korea's folk song. Fourteen tracks explore identity, longing, and love. It sold millions in its first week and topped global charts. The group is running a world tour spanning over 70 shows across Seoul, North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. They performed BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE|ARIRANG in the Gwanghwamun area and appeared on major overseas broadcasts and festival stages.
V is also running the photo book project TYPE 非 and working as an ambassador for global fashion and beauty brands—his visual art work, separate from music.
