Wonpil drops summer fragrance content following 'Unpiltered' solo comeback

Wonpil is keeping his solo momentum going. The DAY6 keyboardist-vocalist shared a message to fans — "my day! Should I tell you how to spend summer refreshingly and fragrantly?" — continuing the Unpiltered era he launched earlier this year.

The first mini album Unpiltered marked his return to solo work roughly four years after his 2022 full-length debut Pilmography. He wrote and composed every track on both records. Unpiltered carries seven songs: title track 사랑병동, plus Toxic Love, 어른이 돼 버렸다, Up All Night, Step by Step, 백만송이는 아니지만, and 피아노. After the March release, he took the project to Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium for the solo concert WONPIL SOLO CONCERT Unpiltered.

Wonpil has 140 songs registered with the Korean Music Copyright Association, ranking 22nd among K-pop idols by copyright registration count as of 2025. Only Young K, his bandmate, sits higher on that list. His solo debut album Pilmography earned a Korean Popular Music Awards nomination for Best Pop Song for the track 행운을 빌어 줘. He also appeared on the project song Wish, released January 7, 2026.

DAY6 debuted in September 2015 with mini album The Day. Wonpil participates in the unit DAY6 (Even of Day), which began with mini album The Book of Us : Gluon in 2020. His keyboard work on tracks like 예뻤어, Sing Me, 노력해볼게요, and Zombie built the reputation he's now cashing in on solo.
