Yunho (TVXQ) recovered from ligament rupture without surgery in 4 weeks ahead of Tokyo Dome
U-Know Yunho ruptured a ligament during an MV shoot, turned down surgery, and made a full recovery in time for his Tokyo Dome concert.
U-Know Yunho appeared on MBC's Omniscient Interfering View on July 18 and revealed he once ruptured a ligament during a music video shoot. Doctors gave him three months to heal. His Tokyo Dome concert was scheduled for one month later.
Surgery was off the table. "The mind governs the body," he told the hospital director. "So I said I would try it once. I said I would do my best with rehabilitation without surgery." The swelling vanished within four weeks. One month in, he was walking and dancing again.
The episode also showed his prep work for his first solo concert. He studied fire safety regulations for the stage. (The fire code research detail landed harder than expected.) His manager explained Yunho's relationship with motivational quotes: "He speaks wise sayings as naturally as breathing. There are many sayings I pass by without even realizing they are wise sayings." Yunho himself photographs the quotes posted outside gas station restrooms.
