ATEEZ's Wooyoung throws ceremonial first pitch at Sajik Stadium for second time

ATEEZ's Wooyoung took the mound at Sajik Baseball Stadium in Busan on August 30. He threw the ceremonial first pitch for the LG Twins vs. Lotte Giants home game—his second time at the venue.

His first came in 2024, when he pitched before a Lotte Giants vs. Samsung Lions matchup. Lotte won. Fans started calling him the "victory fairy" that day. He's a devoted Lotte Giants supporter.

Between those two Sajik appearances, Wooyoung also threw the ceremonial first pitch in March at Tokyo Dome. It was the final first-round game of the 2026 World Baseball Classic: Korea vs. Australia.

"I'm really happy and excited to be able to stand on the Sajik Stadium mound again this time," Wooyoung said. "I will cheer with all my strength to convey good energy to the players."

The timing coincides with Golden Hour: Part 5, ATEEZ's 14th mini album from June, still charting. It hit number 1 on the Billboard 200—their third time at the top—with first-week sales of over 1.88 million copies globally and 223,000 in the US (both personal records). Title track BAD sat at number 8 on Melon Top 100 the morning of August 30, two months after release.

Baseball players have posted videos of themselves dancing to BAD online, pushing the song into the sports world just as Wooyoung returned to the mound.
