BIGBANG returned August 19 with 'BiiiG', hitting #1 on Melon's TOP100 within an hour and staying there through August 21—their first release in 4 years and 4 months.

BIGBANG's 'BiiiG' hits Melon #1 within an hour, 4 years 4 months after their last release

BiiiG dropped August 19. Number 1 on Melon's TOP100 within an hour, still holding it on major domestic charts by midnight August 21.

Twenty years since debut. The pull is still there.

G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung had already released HOME SWEET HOME together, which climbed to number 1 on Melon's monthly chart. The three performed at Coachella and other major festivals.

Offstage, the demand matched. During general ticketing for BIGBANG's 20th anniversary concert in Goyang, roughly 210,000 people tried to buy tickets at once. All three performances sold out in 22 minutes.
