Choi Soo-young plays her first-ever villain in OK Madam 2 — weeks after 14-year relationship with Jung Kyung-ho ends

Choi Soo-young is stepping into new territory on screen — and off it.

The Girls' Generation member plays Anya, leader of a criminal organization that hijacks a luxury cruise ship, in OK Madam 2, which opened August 12, 2026. It's her first official villain role since her debut. The action-comedy centers on the family of former legendary agent Mi-young, played by Eom Jung-hwa, whose vacation becomes a hostage crisis at sea.

On August 17, Soo-young posted on her personal account with several photos: "Don't you need to go to the theater to see OK Madam?"

The film promotion comes roughly a month after she confirmed the end of her 14-year public relationship with actor Jung Kyung-ho. Fourteen years is a long time. No further details about the split have been shared by either side.
