Hong Hyun-hee reveals secret 7 AM 'Trouble Maker' parody shoot with Oh Jung-tae on Radio Star

Hong Hyun-hee appeared on MBC's Radio Star during the August 12 "Forget the Heat ~ Let It Go" special and told a story that cuts straight to rookie desperation.

Early in her career, she arranged a 7 AM shoot with comedian Oh Jung-tae without telling her agency. The plan: film a parody of Hyuna and Jang Hyun-seung's "Trouble Maker." "I thought this would be a huge hit. I was really serious about it," she said. Oh Jung-tae wanted 100% fidelity to the original. Hong Hyun-hee was all in. "I also went crazy. It seemed like it would blow up if we filmed it."

Her agency found out. They were furious. After watching the footage, they ordered the suggestive scenes cut. Hong Hyun-hee had tried to convince the company head it was worth the risk: "If this one parody causes a stir, my life could change." The response stung. "That's something good-looking and pretty people do, but why are there two Oh Jung-taes?"

The cast watched it on air. Jang Do-yeon said it looked like a Japanese movie. Yoo Se-yoon called it "an IPTV adult movie — the kind you have to pay for." Kim Gura: "The contrast between the people is so big that I can't even tell if it's a parody." Hong Hyun-hee shrugged it off. "Now that I think about it, I should have listened to the adults. It didn't become an issue — I just kissed senior Oh Jung-tae."

She also addressed obesity treatment drug allegations with a flat "I am innocent" and confirmed she has lost approximately 10 kg compared to her heaviest period. The muse for her comedy sketch character "The Red"—which aired about 10 years ago—was her own mother. Her son Jun-beom once told his kindergarten teacher "Mom's room is the bathroom."

The episode also featured musical director Kim Moon-jung, comedian Lee Chang-ho, and magician Yu Ho-jin.
