OURBIRTHDAY: JYP's first new girl group in 4 years debuts August 19

OURBIRTHDAY, a seven-member girl group under JYP Entertainment's label 이닛엔터테인먼트 (Init Entertainment), will release their debut single Our Birthday on August 19.

JYP hasn't launched a new girl group in four years. NMIXX was the last one.

The group splits into two units. Side A centers on Jo Hyejin (조혜진), an audition competition winner, plus multinational members Baby and Achiraya (아치라야). Vocal and performance depth anchor this side. Side B has Shin Hyewon (신혜원), a R U Next? alumna; Yu (유), who's done the audition survival circuit; and Guk Chorok (국초록) and Kirara (키라라). They bring an urban, cool-toned energy.

On August 4, they dropped an introduction film called [SYSTEM] CONNECTION ESTABLISHED across their official channels—the first look at the debut single.

Their stated motto: treat every day like a birthday, enjoy each moment freely, fill ordinary life with your own color. (Seven members, two units, one very specific vibe.)
