Park So-dam plays an unemployed law graduate and second daughter in 'Gyeongju Trip,' a revenge road trip centered on four women.

Park So-dam has a simple long-term plan: "I will perform on stage until I'm 90."
The actress, known internationally for playing Ki-jeong in Bong Joon-ho's Parasite, is back with Gyeongju Trip (경주기행), where she plays Youngjoo — a law school graduate, currently unemployed, and the second daughter in a family of four women. The film follows a mother-daughter group on a revenge trip undertaken for Gyeongju, the youngest daughter who never came home from a school excursion.
Park described Youngjoo as someone who "devises careful strategies" but carries real emotional range. "When you look at the photo-taking scene, I'm smiling the widest," she said. "Sometimes she's a bit sharp, sometimes she yells at her mom — because Youngjoo has these various sides, I found acting much more fun."
Before Parasite made her a global name, Park first caught public attention in The Priests (검은 사제들), playing a girl possessed by an evil spirit. She is also counted among the celebrated class of 2010 at the Korea National University of Arts (한예종 10학번), a cohort that has produced a disproportionate number of prominent Korean performers.
(The 90-years-on-stage goal, for the record, is not a metaphor.)
