SPLAY drops second '막차' MV teaser ahead of August 13 debut
SPLAY, a five-member band formed on Mnet's 'Steel Heart Club', debuts with album 'SPLAY : CHAPTER 01' on August 13.
SPLAY (에스플릿) dropped the second music video teaser for 막차 on August 11, two days before their debut.
The five members—vocalist Yoon Chan, drummer Eun Bin, keyboardist Kyung Wook, guitarist Aiden, and bassist Eun Chan—came together through Mnet's global band-making survival show Steel Heart Club. Their name pulls from two Korean words: "Splay" (펼치다, to unfold) and "Play it" (연주하다, to play). The idea was to let each member's individuality and passion shine through the music.
The teaser shows off 막차's bright band sound and a line that goes "몇 번의 여름을 보내고" (spending several summers). The track captures youth at its most luminous. Singer-songwriter Lee Moo Jin's production unit Chorok Byeong Bonbu worked on the song.
Debut album SPLAY : CHAPTER 01 arrives August 13 across streaming platforms. The album title also serves as the team's mission statement—a clean concept for a debut.
