Stray Kids drop 10th mini album 'THIS & THAT' with hip-hop title track

Stray Kids released their tenth mini album THIS & THAT on August 7. Eight tracks. The album arrives off the back of eight consecutive Billboard 200 number-ones — a run stretching from 2022's ODDINARY all the way to DO IT, which dropped in November last year.

The title track leans into hip-hop with a relaxed, cool atmosphere, according to the group. Chang Bin broke down the concept at a press conference held August 6 at Conrad Seoul in Yeongdeungpo-gu: "On top of a unique sound that could be rough and somewhat messy, we tried to approach it in a friendly way by repeating the easy lyrics 'THIS & THAT.'" He added that the song carries the confidence of "we do all kinds of things well." The album also includes AFTER YOU, built around lyrical guitar melodies.

Bang Chan framed the release as a deliberate left turn. After nine years across multiple genres, he wanted to show "a new color of Stray Kids" this time around. Seung Min kept expectations grounded: "rather than preparing albums with achievements as a goal, we focus on showing our best efforts." Hyunjin echoed that, saying the group has never put out an album chasing awards or records. Fan satisfaction comes first.

The album lands mid-tour. Last month Stray Kids sold out five consecutive nights at Seoul KSPO Dome to open the RUN IT world tour. Later this year they head to South America for STRAY CITY, a festival they are headlining in Bogotá, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City.
