AKB48 and TPE48 alum Abe Maria announces marriage and pregnancy
Abe Maria, who spent years in AKB48 and TPE48, announced on September 26 that she's marrying a non-celebrity and expecting a child.

Abe Maria posted to her personal SNS on September 26, 2026. She announced her marriage and pregnancy in a single message. Her partner is someone she'd been dating—not a public figure.
"A new life has also come to me," she wrote. "Everything feels like a miracle and I am truly grateful. I will cherish and nurture this gift well."
She plans to keep working while monitoring her health, hoping to bring happiness to people around her.
From AKB48 to Taiwan
Born in 1995, Abe Maria joined AKB48 as a 10th generation member in 2010. She made senbatsu for Manatsu no Sounds good! in 2012 and worked as a fashion model during her idol years.
In 2017, she requested a transfer to TPE48, AKB48's Taiwan-based sister group, and performed under the AKB48 Team TP banner. She graduated from the AKB48 group in 2019 after a concert at Taipei Arena.
She stayed in Taiwan following her graduation, shifting into broadcasting and modeling work. In her announcement, she thanked fans and colleagues for their support and said she looks forward to continuing to bring happiness.
