Actress Lee Ji-yeon competed in Miss Globe, an international beauty pageant. On September 12, she confirmed her marriage to Nasolsaegye Season 21 cast member Yeongcheol (born 1984) by posting wedding photos on Instagram.

Yeongcheol shared the news himself on social media: "Getting married slightly late in September 2026."

Lee Ji-yeon released a personal statement about the announcement. "I met a good person and we are starting a new chapter together," she wrote.

She acknowledged that some people in her life hadn't heard beforehand. "It is proper etiquette to visit and greet each person individually, but I hesitated for fear of burdening them and could not inform some people," she said. "If you feel disappointed, I hope you will understand generously."

She closed by opening the door to anyone who wanted to reach out, saying she would "cherish all your congratulations and live beautifully."
