'Butter' hits 1.5B Spotify streams, joining 'Dynamite' and 'My Universe' as BTS group tracks to cross that mark five years after its May 2021 release.

BTS's 2021 digital single Butter has surpassed 1.5 billion cumulative streams on Spotify. It's the group's third team track to reach that threshold. Dynamite and My Universe—the Coldplay collaboration—got there first.
Released in May 2021, the track debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated June 5, 2021. It returned to the top spot nine more times. Ten number-one weeks in total. That's a BTS group record on that chart. It spent 20 weeks on the Hot 100 overall, 73 weeks on the Billboard Global 200, and 79 weeks on the Billboard Global (excluding US).
The Butter music video hit 1.1 billion views in July, BTS's seventh video to reach that count. When it dropped in 2021, the clip set the record for the fastest K-pop music video to reach 100 million views.
With Butter now at 1.5 billion, BTS holds the most 1-billion-streamed tracks of any Korean artist: ten songs in total. That catalog includes Dynamite, My Universe, 작은 것들을 위한 시 (Boy With Luv) (feat. Halsey), FAKE LOVE, and Life Goes On, among others. Ten billion-stream tracks from one group is a number that doesn't need an adjective.
