BTS's fourth video to clear 1.6 billion

MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix) hit 1.6 billion YouTube views on September 16 at approximately 6:37 PM. Fourth on BTS's all-time list at that threshold. Behind it: Dynamite, Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey), and DNA.

The track dropped November 24, 2017—audio and video the same day on the HYBE Labels official channel. Steve Aoki remixed MIC Drop, originally from BTS's fifth mini-album LOVE YOURSELF 承 'Her', transforming it into electro trap.

The video and its chart run

Steve Aoki DJs in the opening shot. Then BTS takes over with group choreography against two settings: an interrogation room lined with microphones, and a burning car. Suga gets the final moment, dropping a microphone to the floor—a visual that drives home the track's message and attitude.

The remix entered the US Billboard Hot 100 at No. 28 on release and stayed charted for 10 weeks.
