From LOONA's tenth member to a full-length album
Chuu—real name Kim Ji-woo, 26—joined LOONA as its tenth member in 2017. That same year, her solo introduction arrived as the "Heart Attack" music video, which has accumulated tens of millions of views since.
Her solo work built methodically. EP Howl dropped in October 2023 with the title track, "Underwater," and "Hitchhiker." Strawberry Rush followed in June 2024, leading with its title track and "Honeybee." April 2025 brought mini album Only cry in the rain, which included the title track and "Back in town." Each of those four tracks—"Howl," "Strawberry Rush," "Underwater," and "Only cry in the rain"—cleared millions of views. On January 7, 2026, she released her first full-length album, XO, My Cyberlove.
Acting and variety work running alongside the music
Chuu's screen work began in 2019 with a role as Han Eun-sol in tvN D STORY drama Essential Dating Etiquette. In 2025 she played Kang Min-joo in My Girlfriend is a Tomboy.
Variety kept pace. She held a fixed MC slot on Real Love Lab Doksa-gwa in 2024, returned as MC on My Child's Love in 2025, and that same year appeared as a player on Netflix-affiliated competition program Devil's Plan: Death Room.
The selfie she posted—quiet, mid-commute—reads like nothing much. Until you realize how much she had running at once.
