Hong Jin-young addressed the pregnancy rumors head-on during an appearance on the SBS entertainment program 신발 벗고 돌싱포맨. She'd seen the comments. "3 months" pregnant. "6 months" pregnant. "About to give birth."
"I was hurt," she said on the show. When pressed, she was blunt: "I am not doing that."
The SNS post that backed her up
The day before the broadcast, on the 18th, Hong Jin-young posted photos to SNS with a caption about the weather: "It was chilly in the morning so I put on a jacket, but when the sun came up it got hot again." She was in golf wear. The timing made the message clear.
Hong Jin-young built her career on songs like 사랑의 배터리 and 엄지 척, moving between trot and mainstream pop. (Pregnancy rumors are a recurring tabloid pattern in Korean entertainment, and she's had to push back before.) By the time she went public, the speculation had been circulating long enough to pile up comments across social media.
