H//PE Princess swept all four major Korean music broadcasts the week of September 9 with 'AWA', a hip-hop single first previewed at KCON LA 2026 in August.

H//PE Princess released AWA on September 9, 2026. Four consecutive days later, they owned every major Korean music broadcast. M Countdown on Sept. 9 came first, followed by KBS2 Music Bank (Sept. 10), MBC Show! Music Core (Sept. 11), and SBS Inkigayo (Sept. 12).
The audio dropped the same day as their M Countdown performance. They took the stage with relaxed expressions and gestures, letting the heavy beat carry them through—hip-hop identity on full display since day one.
AWA hits hard. The track bends conventional song structure into something trendy, built around a catchy hook and heavy beat. Lyrically, it's about moving forward on your own terms, unbothered by outside noise or gossip. The group's self-assured stage presence says the same thing.
This marks their second project. H//PE Princess debuted in the first half of 2026 through CJ ENM's Mnet Korea-Japan co-production audition program Unpretty Rapstar: Hip-Hop Princess. Their first mini-album was 17.7. The seven members are Coco, YSY (윤서영), Yuju, Doi, Rino, Nico, and Sujin.
Korean fans got AWA last. The group performed it first at KCON LA 2026 on August 14 at Crypto.com Arena and the LA Convention Center in Los Angeles, handheld mics in hand, rapping live before any official release. Previewing a comeback at a US festival before domestic broadcast rounds is a move not every debut group pulls off.
Beyond the music, they've held fan meetings in South Korea and Japan. Member Doi landed the female lead in the film Vampire (뱀피르). H//PE Princess plans to keep pushing AWA forward.
