'I Am SOLO' Divorcee Couple Gwangsu & Hyunsuk Face Breakup Rumors After Secret Recording Scandal

Photos gone, 400 days erased

By the morning of September 17, Hyunsuk—a 22nd-season I Am SOLO participant—had scrubbed every photo and post featuring Gwangsu from her Instagram. The couple had publicly dated since July of last year, a relationship Hyunsuk herself said had crossed 400 days just last month. Now it looked over.

They met on separate divorcee-special seasons of the SBS Plus·ENA dating show I Am SOLO and later appeared together on the JTBC variety program Love War. Gwangsu was a 16th-season participant.

The recording that changed everything

The September 14 episode of Love War is where it fell apart. The broadcast revealed that Hyunsuk had been secretly recording Gwangsu's conversations. On air, she addressed him directly:

"I have a lot I want to say but talking about it is like playing music to a cow, so I won't. You're not someone I need to tell. Just live your own life."

Gwangsu didn't hide his pain. "Is this really my girlfriend talking like this?" he said. "It's psychologically very difficult."

Hyunsuk posted on social media after the episode aired: "After next week's broadcast ends, you will understand me a little. Nevertheless, I am sorry and grateful." (Next week's episode had not yet aired as of publication.) The Instagram purge happened before that episode dropped.
