IU drops recording behind-the-scenes for '이 별로부터' as MV era continues

Studio footage lands as the single holds chart positions

IU's official YouTube channel 이지금 [IU Official] posted recording behind-the-scenes footage for 이 별로부터 (Unknown Planet) on September 22. The clip came six days after the music video dropped on the 16th, keeping the single's promotional cycle moving.

The digital single itself arrived on the 10th as a double title track release. 이 별로부터 and Dear my crazy soulmate both have lyrics written by IU. Both tracks are pre-release cuts for her upcoming sixth full-length album, functioning as an extended tease for whatever that record ends up being.

Chart response was immediate

이 별로부터 hit number one on Melon Hot100, Genie Top200, and Bugs real-time charts immediately after release on the 10th. Three charts. Three number ones.

The behind-the-scenes footage gives fans a look at the recording process for a track that's already proven itself commercially. With a sixth album still on the way, the studio content doubles as a reminder that there's more coming.
