Dr. Woo inked J-Hope with seven member silhouettes spelling 'ARMY'—a direct lift from the formation BTS struck in their 'Butter' music video.
Seven silhouettes, one word
Tattoo artist Dr. Woo revealed J-Hope's latest piece: seven silhouettes arranged in black and white to spell ARMY. The formation comes straight from the Butter music video, where BTS shaped their bodies into those exact letters.
Two members at either end spread their arms and legs to form A and Y. The rest tilt or link up to complete R and M. All seven accounted for.
Dr. Woo also did J-Hope's HOPE arm tattoo. Now J-Hope carries three pieces with clear personal weight: the 7 friendship tattoo shared with his BTS members, HOPE for his name, and ARMY for the fandom.
Tour context
BTS is running BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' with a Sofi Stadium stop in Los Angeles already locked in. The tour continues through South America, Asia, and Oceania.
