Rock meets trot: Jae-ha's '바보야' gets its first stage

Jae-ha performed her self-composed song 바보야 for the first time on MBC ON's 트롯챔피언, broadcast on September 10. Rock and trot collide in the track. Her description: "록킹한 노래에 트로트를 가미했다" (a rocking song with trot added in).

She unpacked what the song means to her. "I put into the song the idea of being a fool who only knows their fans." A direct nod to the people showing up for her. She threw out a challenge to viewers too: count how many times the title phrase 바보야 appears. The song is "시원시원한" (bold and punchy) enough to make it worth tracking.

September 15 release

바보야 drops September 15 at noon across online music platforms. Jae-ha wrote it herself. In the trot space, that's not automatic—writing and performing your own material takes a different kind of commitment.

She finished in the final TOP 5 on SBS Love FM's 인생은 오디션, where she built a reputation for vocal ability. 바보야 is what comes next. Now her songwriting credentials sit alongside that voice.
