Actor Jisoo left Korean entertainment in 2021 after admitting to school violence. Now he's playing a crime boss on Philippine network GMA.

Jisoo is back on screen. This time he's the bad guy. He plays Dong Hyun in Taskforce Firewall, an action drama on GMA Prime weekdays at 8:50 PM. The character runs a sexual exploitation and extortion ring. Jisoo says it's his first full villain role.
On September 14, he posted: "On set as Dong Hyun, off set with family. Lovely September days."
The Philippine move began in 2024 when Jisoo took a special appearance in the local action drama Black Rider. He signed with Sparkle, GMA's management company, and appeared in Never Say Die and Love, Siargao. The latter airs on GMA after its local streaming release.
Jisoo left Korean entertainment in 2021 when school violence allegations emerged. He was playing the male lead Ondal in KBS2's The River Where the Moon Rises. He issued a handwritten apology admitting to past misconduct, withdrew mid-production, and terminated his contract with agency Keist.
The legal fallout continued into 2026. The production company sued Keist for damages. Keist withdrew its Supreme Court appeal, leaving a second-instance ruling in place that orders Keist to pay approximately 880 million won in damages.
