Jo Yeo-jeong & Kim Jae-chul's mudslinging divorce arc peaks in episode 7 of Coupang Play's 'Now Infidelity Is Not the Problem'

Episode 7, which dropped on Coupang Play on August 28, is the one Kim Hye-soo flagged at the production showcase as the series' peak. It earns that label.

Jae-hong (Kim Ji-hoon) is already cornered: his affair has been exposed to his family, and he then discovers his wife Gyeong-hee (Kim Hye-soo) has her own relationship with Bo-seong (Kim Jae-chul). What follows is a full brawl between Jae-hong, Bo-seong, and Bo-seong's divorce lawyer Choi Sang-chul (Lee Du-seok), who is caught hiding inside Jae-hong's house. Gyeong-hee and Su-jeong (Jo Yeo-jeong) join in. The YouTube Gold Button—a symbol of Jae-hong and Gyeong-hee's success as a couple—makes an appearance during the chaos.

Then there's more. Jae-hong's daughter is caught up in a hit-and-run incident. Jae-hong participates in covering it up. Choi Sang-chul collapses. Separately, Ye-ji and Min-seo arrive at a villa to find a man who looks identical to a dead private detective. His twin brother, Na-do.

Jo Yeo-jeong describes her character Su-jeong, a dermatologist, as someone who "reveals an incompleteness she did not know about herself" when confronted by events that make infidelity look minor by comparison. Kim Jae-chul says Bo-seong "may appear cold and indifferent" but ultimately shows a softer side.

The series has sat at number one on Coupang Play's popular works chart for four consecutive weeks and topped the drama satisfaction rankings in Consumer Insight's OTT K-Original Content Viewer Evaluation Report for the third week of August. One episode left to hold that position.

Directed by Lee Chang-hee and written by Jung Eun-kyung and Park Su-rin, the eight-episode series wraps with its finale on September 4 at 8 PM on Coupang Play.
