The 39-year-old singer-actor released the single THE WAVE in August, marking his first domestic release in 1 year and 3 months. The title track is "Tonight."
18 years between solo Music Bank appearances
On August 21, Kim Jae Joong appeared on KBS 2TV's Music Bank as a solo artist for the first time in approximately 18 years. Eighteen years is a long time to wait for a solo slot.
He held two nights of his solo concert 2026 KIM JAE JOONG CONCERT [THE WAVE] at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul on August 29 and 30.
Beyond the stage
Kim Jae Joong also participated in MUCON 2026, held in Mapo-gu, Seoul, where he shared strategies and experiences of small and medium-sized entertainment companies with attendees.
