Trot singer Kim Ui-young hits 7 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on K탑스타's Best Trot Female chart

Seven straight weeks at the top

Kim Ui-young has held No. 1 in K탑스타's "Best Trot Female" category for seven consecutive weeks. Votes were counted September 7–13. The global K-pop voting site result extends a winning streak that has kept her at the center of the female trot conversation this season.

She also won two Tenasia reader polls. The first (September 3–9) asked which female trot singer fans would most want to visit the sea with at summer's end. The second polled which female trot singer fans would choose for autumn foliage viewing.

Ahead of Chuseok, Kim Ui-young posted a message to fans: "May the coming Chuseok be abundant in heart and spirit."

From KBS Children's Choir to pole dance performances

Kim Ui-young graduated from Chung-Ang University's College of Arts, Department of Traditional Arts, majoring in Performing Arts (연희예술전공). Her background includes participation in KBS Children's Choir during childhood and pole dance performances as part of her current stage work. She has also appeared on SBS LIFE's The Trot Show.
