Kim Young-ok on IU MV shoot: "Almost no lines — facial expressions only, and that's harder"

"Almost no lines" — and that made it tougher

Kim Young-ok released a behind-the-scenes video on her YouTube channel on the 23rd, covering her time on IU's music video set and in Gwangju. The video is titled 지난 영상에 다 못담은 이야기 — 김영옥의 아이유 MV 촬영 비하인드｜광주 뒷이야기 ("Stories that didn't fit in the last video — Kim Young-ok's IU MV shooting behind-the-scenes | Gwangju afterstory").

In the footage, Kim Young-ok doesn't hold back. "There are almost no lines," she said. "Because I have to express all emotions through facial expressions only, I feel it's more difficult." She went on: "I have to show my feelings only through facial expressions." Then she caught herself. "It's fun."

That tension matters. Acting without words demands something different, and she recognizes it. "Aside from everything else, doing a different genre like this is fun," she said.

Why she's on YouTube at all

Kim Young-ok also explained why she started the channel. "I didn't write any book to leave behind and have nothing to leave, so I decided to try it." She keeps posting because people keep watching.
