Kwon In-seo goes rock with new single "READY!"

Kwon In-seo released digital single READY! (레디) on September 19, 2026. Hard pivot. She built her catalog on ballads and delicate emotional delivery. READY! is a full rock track.

The song opens with an electric guitar intro, then layers a dense guitar rhythm underneath a band sound that keeps building through the runtime. In the chorus, that band sound locks in with her most powerful vocal performance to date — a deliberate shift from the lyrical style she's been known for.

Thematically, READY! is about pushing forward through repeated frustration and uncertain circumstances.

The lead-up

Kwon In-seo dropped a teaser on Genie Music's official YouTube channel on September 14, five days before release. The single went live across music streaming platforms the same day it was announced to the public.

Her most recent release before this was a March 2026 remake of Geuriwo Geuriweoseo (그리워 그리워서) — the OST track from the drama Gurumi Green Moonlight (구르미 그린 달빛) — recorded with HANZ.
