Lee Young-ae confirmed for mystery melodrama and Jang Geum return as two new projects take shape

Lee Young-ae, 55, is set for two new dramas. In 재이의 영인 (Jae-i's Spirit), she plays Joo Young-in, an art teacher and painter grieving the loss of a son. The role marks a reunion with Yoo Ji-tae, who starred opposite her in the film 봄날은 간다 a quarter-century ago.

She's also returning to the historical drama 의녀 대장금, reprising her role as Jang Geum.

Lee Young-ae broke into acting in the early 1990s through a 'To You' chocolate advertisement, appearing opposite Hong Kong actor Andy Lau (유덕화).
