Miss Kim takes Yeosu with 'Yeop-guri'

Miss Kim (Kim Chaerin, 24) hit the stage at the Jinnam Sports Complex in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do on the Yeosu City special of KBS 1TV's Jeonkuk Noraejang, which aired September 13. In a sky-blue dress, she performed Yeop-guri—an EDM-driven track with playful lyrics that let her signature vocal tone shine. The choreography pulled the crowd into group singing and dancing. She earned her nickname Haengsa-ui Yeowang (Event Queen) through consistently stable live vocals and a relaxed stage presence.

Two new tracks, one familiar stage

Miss Kim recently released two singles: Yeop-guri and Sarang-ui Gamcho. This Yeosu appearance marks her second notable turn on Jeonkuk Noraejang. She previously won the Excellence Award on the Haenam-gun episode that aired June 4, 2023, performing Yongdusan Elegy and Chueok-ui Soyagok.

She finished 4th in the final round of TV CHOSUN's Miss Trot 3, entering the TOP7. She splits her time between farming in Hwangsan-myeon, Haenam-gun and her trot career—which is exactly why fans call her Haenam-ui Ddal (Daughter of Haenam). Her official fanclub goes by Miss Kim Manager.

After the broadcast she posted: "Did you enjoy listening to Miss Kim's Yeop-guri on Jeonkuk Noraejang? I'm truly grateful and happy that so many people have been singing along and loving it lately." She added: "I'll keep running harder."

Yoon Su-hyun (Ninano) opened the show. Park Gun performed Ddaeng Jabwatda. Yu Min sang Ya Joh-nya. Park Seo-jin, known as Janggu-ui Shin (master of janggu), closed with Jinaya.

Civilian performers included a mother-daughter waacking duo. The mom joked their house needs no fan in summer because her daughter spins her arms so much. Yeosu city officials performed Lee Jung-hyun's Wa to promote the Island Expo. A senior model sang Han Young-ae's Nugu Eobso. A father and his 6-year-old daughter did Andong Station together before the daughter danced to Choi Ye-na's Catch Catch. (Host Nam Hee-seok asked if she was tired; she said she could dance all day.) A group of 18-year-old high school students in matching outfits sang Young-tak's Jjin-iya.
