N.Flying's Yoo Hoe-seung shares Taipei tour afterglow — and a new song drops Sept. 1

Still hearing the encore in Taipei

Yoo Hoe-seung (30), main vocalist of five-member band N.Flying, posted a Taipei concert recap on Instagram on September 21. The caption said it all.

Under the phrase "in to REM Taipei," he wrote: "아직도 앵콜이 들리는것 같아여" — "It still sounds like I can hear the encore."

The Taipei stop is part of 2026 N.Flying LIVE &CON5 : into REM, the group's first nationwide tour since debut. N.Flying — Lee Seung-hyub, Cha Hun, Kim Jae-hyun, Yoo Hoe-seung, and Seo Dong-seong — is now expanding the run overseas. Japan dates in Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo are locked in.

Performing through an ankle injury

Yoo Hoe-seung was diagnosed with ankle ligament damage during the tour. He's continuing the schedule by avoiding intense movements, following medical staff guidance. (Still posting V-poses from Taipei while managing a ligament injury says something.)

The timing is tight: N.Flying has a new song releasing September 1, right in the middle of the tour stretch.

A career built across stages and screens

Yoo Hoe-seung joined N.Flying in June 2017 after appearing on survival program Produce 101 Season 2 earlier that year. His formal debut came with N.Flying's second mini album THE REAL : N.Flying in 2017.

Musical theatre has been a constant. He played Galileo in We Will Rock You — his first lead role. Pungbaek in Wonder Ticket — The Village with the Guardian Tree and Wonder Ticket — The Resurrection of the Guardian Tree. Schiele in Klimt. Lee Hae-jin in Secretly Greatly. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Mozart!. Gabe in Next to Normal.

On broadcast, he's appeared across multiple episodes of Immortal Songs and won in special episodes. He ran a long-term reign as king on Mystery Music Show Mask King under the stage name "Trophy."

In January he released the remake track 도망가자 (Run With Me). His OST 그랬나봐 for the drama Sungjae Up and Away earned him the Best OST award at the 2024 Korea Grand Music Awards.
