Park Shin-hye gives birth to second child, a daughter, on September 22

Park Shin-hye, 36, gave birth to a daughter on September 22, her agency Salt Entertainment confirmed. She and husband Choi Tae-joon, 35, are now parents to one son and one daughter.

Salt Entertainment released a statement: "Actress Park Shin-hye gave birth to a healthy daughter today (September 22), bringing another new family member to the couple. Currently both mother and child are healthy, and actress Park Shin-hye is resting and recovering with the love and care of her family."

From first son to a family of four

Park and Choi married on January 22, 2022. Their first son arrived on May 31 that same year. Park announced her second pregnancy in April 2026, roughly four years after her first son's birth. In June, she traveled to Singapore for a prenatal trip alongside Bae Yong-joon and Park Soo-jin.

The two met as senior and junior at Chung-Ang University's Department of Theater and Film. They began dating in 2017 and went public with the relationship in 2018.

Career before the break

Park debuted in 2003 in Lee Seung-hwan's music video for 꽃. She built her profile through SBS dramas including Stairway to Heaven, You're Beautiful, The Heirs, and Pinocchio. Most recently she led tvN's Undercover Miss Hong, which wrapped in March 2026.

Choi debuted in 2001 with the drama Piano. He most recently appeared in KBS 2TV's Darimi Family, which ended in January 2025.

After sufficient rest, Park is scheduled to return in SBS's Judge from Hell Season 2, set to air in 2027.
