The show that went global in two weeks

Park Yun-ho just wrapped one of the year's bigger streaming runs. 들쥐 (Vole), released on Netflix last month, claimed #1 in the platform's global non-English TV category within two weeks. It landed in the top 10 across 45 countries.

He plays Seo Yu-min, a character whose past with protagonist Moon Jae predates the story itself. As the series progresses, buried truths between them surface. Seo Yu-min's layered emotions and hunger for revenge fuel the show's central twists. This is the kind of role that hinges entirely on restraint, and the global numbers suggest he nailed it.

Five shows last year, one more coming

The Vole success didn't arrive in a vacuum. Last year Park appeared in five projects back to back: Study Group, Someday or One Day (the medical resident version), Unknown Seoul, Trigger, and Pro Bono. Most actors don't sustain that pace for a single year.

His next confirmed project is the Tving original 대리수능 (Proxy Exam). No details about the role or premiere date have been announced.

In a September Cosmopolitan interview, Park described the image he wants to leave behind: "매사에 진심인 배우" — an actor sincere in all things. He also spoke to a shift in his approach to work. "In the past, I focused on performing the role well," he said, "but now I look at the entire work and think about how I can contribute."

(Five dramas in a year, then a global #1 — the sincerity argument is getting harder to dismiss.)
