Ryu Jun-yeol, Hong Kyung, Jung Ho-yeon, Won Ji-an & Justin Min confirmed for Netflix thriller 'Outback'
Netflix greenlit *Outback* (working title) on Sept. 11—a webtoon thriller set in Australia with five leads hunting a dead sister's secrets.

Five leads, one dead sister, and a city that doesn't give answers
Netflix confirmed production of Outback (working title) on September 11. The cast: Ryu Jun-yeol, Hong Kyung, Jung Ho-yeon, Won Ji-an, and Justin Min.
It's a thriller set in Australia, adapted from the webtoon Geudai (그다이). Hong Kyung plays Sion, who flies there after his sister dies and digs into what really happened in a city that won't talk. Ryu Jun-yeol is Minhyuk, the mysterious figure at the center of it all. Jung Ho-yeon plays Smiley, a content creator running live streams in Australia. Won Ji-an is Siyoung—Sion's sister, the incident that starts everything. Justin Min plays Scott, a Korean police officer.
The D.P. and Weak Hero team behind the camera
Han Jun-hee directed Netflix's D.P. and shaped the Weak Hero series. He's the overall planning director here. Jeon Du-gwan directs. Park Hyun-woo, who wrote Weak Hero Class 2, co-writes the screenplay with Han Jun-hee.
Han's pitch was direct: "I wanted to capture the fun of pursuing a case along with the anxiety and growth of young people who are shaken and changed within it."
(The D.P.–Weak Hero pipeline on a single project matters for thriller fans.)
No release date yet. Netflix will announce timing later.
