Singer Shin Jisu to Wed Hong Kong Finance Expert on Sept. 19 After 2.5-Year Long-Distance Romance

Wedding set for Sept. 19 in Seoul

Shin Jisu is getting married. She posted several wedding snapshot photos with her fiancé on Sept. 12, two days after sharing invitation gathering photos with friends on Sept. 11. The ceremony happens Sept. 19 at 11:00 AM at a university convention center wedding hall in Seoul.

Her fiancé works in finance and graduated from Hong Kong University's School of Business. They maintained a long-distance relationship between Hong Kong and Seoul for two years and six months before deciding to marry.

Shin Jisu described her partner as "a person who makes me warmest and most myself when we are together." She also addressed fans directly: "Thank you to those who have not forgotten me as a singer and have warmly congratulated me."

"We will respect each other as we are and live well together. Thank you."

From Superstar K3 to babicasso

In 2011, Shin Jisu appeared on Mnet's Superstar K3 while still a student at Korean Arts High School. She advanced to the top 7 in the live broadcast rounds. Her performance of Adele's Rolling in the Deep stuck with viewers.

After roughly four years of training, she debuted in 2015 with the mini album 20's PARTY 1. She has since expanded into visual art and design under the name babicasso (베비카소). Her most recent known music activity was a feature on a track by producer-composer 14 in 2024.
