Song So-hee dropped 'NANSEN' on September 13—a self-written, self-produced rock single with its music video arriving the same day.

Song So-hee released NANSEN on September 13. The music video went live simultaneously across streaming platforms.
NANSEN is a rock track. It builds around wandering through endless snowy fields and frozen winds, pressing toward a final signal with no clear path—framing even the hardest moments as exhilarating exploration. Song So-hee wrote, composed, and produced it herself. Choi Woong-sik (최웅식) handled arrangement.
The release follows PARADE (生), another self-made track, continuing her run of original work where she writes and produces her own material.
The single had already been building momentum well before today. Song So-hee debuted NANSEN live at the Jeonju Ultimate Music Festival 2026, performing it as a mashup with Arirang. The Shorts clip of that stage crossed 1.7 million views. She performed the new song again at the Medley Medley Festival on September 6, drawing a strong crowd response.
(Rock arrangement meeting a centuries-old folk song—1.7 million people clicked in before the track even had an official release date.)
With the single and music video now out, NANSEN is Song So-hee's latest move as a singer-songwriter building her own catalog on her own terms.
