Eight Korean hip-hop artists drop 'ROOTS' on Sept 11. The MV premieres live Sept 12 at Spotify House Seoul, followed by the first performance.

Spotify releases ROOTS, a new Spotify Singles track, on September 11. The lineup spans generations of Korean hip-hop: Lil Moshpit, The Quiett, Raf Sandou, CAMO, NOWIMYOUNG, HAON, Tiger JK, and Dynamicduo.
The track centers on a single idea: "Don't forget your roots." It's about respect for the path Korean hip-hop has walked and the culture it came from. The framing is "Respect is the New Cool," with the song aiming to express intergenerational connection from a contemporary perspective.
The official music video premieres at the venue on September 12, the same night all eight participating artists take the stage together for ROOTS's first-ever live performance. Tiger JK and Lil Moshpit are newly joining the Spotify House Seoul hip-hop concert lineup for that night. The Quiett, Raf Sandou, CAMO, NOWIMYOUNG, HAON, and Dynamicduo round out the stage.
On September 11, dancer Honey J runs a ROOTS dance class at Spotify House Seoul, introducing the official challenge choreography she created.
Spotify House Seoul runs four days — September 10 through 13 — at Anderson C in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. Electronic and K-pop take the 10th. Indie rock follows on the 11th. Hip-hop dominates September 12. The final day shifts to experiential programming and visitor spaces.
Spotify Singles launched in 2016. Around 750 artists across 45 global markets have participated since then, with cumulative streams surpassing 10 billion.
