ATEEZ's Wooyoung and San address dating rumors sparked by matching friendship tattoos
Wooyoung and San stopped by 'Salon Drip' on Oct. 13 to talk about their 'Amicus ad Aras' tattoos and address the fan theories that they're a couple.

Matching ink, misread signals
Wooyoung and San from ATEEZ appeared on Salon Drip EP. 159 on October 13. The conversation opened with their friendship tattoos, which have sparked endless speculation about what the two actually are to each other.
Wooyoung's explanation was straightforward: "I said let's go get a tattoo and do one together. That's how we ended up doing it together." They landed on Amicus ad Aras, Latin for "friends until the grave." The tattoo has gotten noticed in unexpected places. San described a recent sauna visit at a Milan hotel where a Spanish person spotted it and immediately knew what it meant.
"They think we're actually dating"
The time they spend together. The matching ink. People have started connecting dots that aren't there. San put it plainly: "We spend a lot of time together and got tattoos and such, so some people misunderstand us as romantic partners." Fans have even started calling the phrase yeombbyeongkusee instead of amicus—a playful jab at what they perceive as two people living in their own bubble.
(The episode title itself—roughly "approved by both sets of parents (NOT saying we're getting married)"—made clear the two knew exactly what they were walking into.)
Host Jang Do-yeon watched their banter and laughed: "When I see the two of you bickering, it looks like watching mom and dad."
