BTS draws 151,500 to Lima for first-ever Peru concerts, adds third show amid demand
Over 151,000 fans packed Estadio San Marcos across three nights. Peru's tourism ministry estimated $18.7M in economic impact from the visit.

151,500 fans, one extra night
BTS played their first-ever concerts in Peru on October 7 and 9–10 at Estadio San Marcos in Lima under the banner BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' IN LIMA. Total attendance across the three nights reached approximately 151,500. The run was originally scheduled for two shows. A third was added after demand outpaced capacity.
On the night of the 7th, ride-hailing service Cabify recorded vehicle call requests toward the stadium running up to 15 times higher than normal. After the final set ended, that figure climbed to 48 times the usual volume.
What the members said on stage
One member addressed the crowd in Spanish—"Los amo" ("I love you")—then said, "Your energy is truly amazing. I wonder why we came to Peru only now." Jimin, whose birthday fell on the 13th, told the audience: "I will live without forgetting the fact that you all love me greatly from the opposite side of the earth."
Jin posted a behind-the-scenes photo on the 13th showing himself peeking out from behind a black cloth with a V-pose, fans holding support signs visible in the background. His Spanish-language crowd interactions during the earlier Bogota, Colombia stop and the Lima dates trended in real-time searches in both countries after each show.
Economic footprint
Peru's Ministry of Commerce and Tourism projected that more than 50,000 visitors would travel to Lima during the concert period, generating roughly $18.7 million USD (approximately 25.1 billion KRW) in tourism-sector economic impact. The Lima Chamber of Commerce put the broader related economic activity figure at up to 200 million soles (approximately 78 billion KRW).
BigHit Music said the group "spent meaningful time meeting fans for the first time in Peru" and pledged to "communicate deeply with fans in each region through music" as the South American leg continues.
What's next on the South American run
BTS head to Santiago, Chile for shows on October 14 and 16–17, followed by stops in Buenos Aires, Argentina and São Paulo, Brazil.
